The new series is said to have inspired Tolkien to write The Lord of the Rings, reports GloucestershireLive. There was also a film set at a Wye Valley quarry, an artificial fortified encampment in a rocky canyon at Patchway Studios Bristol, a village at the Blaise Castle estate in north Bristol, and in Watchet, Somerset. ![]() That includes scenes being shot in Bradford-on-Avon. It it understood that filming took place across 70 days between July 2022 and January 2023 at several locations across the West country. A new TV epic about the legends surroundings King Arthur is due to hit our screens soon, and filming for it took place right here in Wiltshire. ![]()
